Children and Divorce

A 6 page discussion of the impacts of divorce on school-age children. Observes that the impacts of divorce on school-age children are negative overall. The degree of this impact, however, is largely dependent on a number of factors such as the degree of conflict which exists prior to and after the divorce, the custody arrangements, the degree to which the estranged parent stays involved with the children, and the age a child is when divorce occurs. Concludes, however, that children are tremendously flexible in regard to their ability to adjust.
